OUR Deity

General“Ho Ya”

The "Tiger Deity" is a type of deity in Chinese mythology depicted in the form of a tiger. Originally, it served as the mount of mountain gods, earth gods, or city guardian deities.

Over time, its role evolved to become the mount of other deities like local deities or deities such as Wangye and Mazu. However, it might not necessarily be associated with a specific deity. Its primary function is to guard regions, villages, cities, and temple precincts.

The birthday of the Tiger Deity is celebrated on the 6th day of the 6th lunar month.
